The 5-Day Black Friday Countdown
Black Friday can be a goldmine for businesses, but it doesn’t just have to be for the big retailers (cough cough, we’re looking at you massive online marketplace that won’t be named).
If you’re a small / medium sized business without a big advertising budget, fret not dear reader, we’ve got just the thing. With our 5 Day BFCM Countdown, you can maximize sales, minimize stress, and put your brand on the map this sales season.
Day 1: Define Your Offer
Start by picking one main offer whether it’s a bundle, a discount, or a fun freebie. Keep it simple (and keep your sanity intact). Too many choices will be confusing and overwhelming to your audience.
Tip: Create an offer for your BFCM sale that works for both you and your customers. It should be exciting to your audience, but shouldn’t negatively impact your bottom line.
Day 2: Get Your Assets in Order
Prep all your social posts, stories in advance so they are ready to go when the sale goes live so you’re not scrambling at the last minute.
Give your website a checkup too. Make sure it’s fast loading, optimized for mobile, up-to-date with accurate information and free of broken links. It has to be able to accommodate the rush of sales you’re about to get!
Tip: Run a mini social media and website audit. Look through all pages to make sure everything is working the way it’s supposed to including links, buttons, and the checkout.
Day 3: Warm up Your Audience
Now is the time to get in your audience’s faces. Post teaser videos, interactive stories, utilize video to draw the attention of your audience and not only to get them to remember you, but to get them excited for what you have planned.
Tip: Share content that resonates with your audience and speaks to their pain points. Highlight how your offering solves their problem and can make their life better.
Day 4: Schedule Everything:
Avoid any last minute panicking by scheduling your content and the launch of your sale to go live automatically. This also includes any email campaigns including confirmation or thank you emails to your customers.
Tip: Use scheduling tools like Canva, Later, or even in the built in social media scheduling features. You’ll definitely thank yourself later.
Day 5: Launch and Engage With Your Audience
Launch day is here! You’ve been building up to this so let’s make it feel like an event. Be active on your social channels, post updates, reply to comments, and engage with your audience.
Tip: Keep the enthusiasm and sales energy sky high! Celebrate all your wins, let your personality shine through, and show how appreciative you are of all the support.
